About Schieck Dental
Schieck Dental is locally owned and operated by Dr. Tucker Schieck. Schieck Dental has been serving Austin community for over 30 years. Dr. Joel Schieck started the practice in 1990 and in 2010 moved the practice to a brand new, contemporary building. The office is designed to enhance patient comfort and provide you and your loved ones with state-of-the-art care.
Dr. Tucker Schieck
Dr. Tucker Schieck is an Austin native who graduated from AHS in 2003. He then went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Carleton College, earning a B.A. in 2007. After trying out multiple career paths, Dr. Schieck decided on dentistry and returned to school. He completed his dental studies at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 2018 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Dr. Schieck joined his father in dental practice July of 2018 and took over in June of 2021. He is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), and works with Donated Dental Services. Dr. Schieck continues to be involved with continuing education opportunities in order to stay current and provide quality service to his patients and community.
Dr. Courtney Bollingberg
Dr. Courtney Bollingberg grew up in Lyle, MN. She simultaneously graduated from Lyle High School and Riverland Community College in Austin with her A.A degree in 2016. She then earned a B.S. in Psychology at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2019. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated in 2023 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Dr. Courtney is a long time patient at Schieck, and she’s excited to be continuing her involvement at Schieck Dental as a Dentist to provide quality care for patients in the area. Dr. Courtney is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and is involved in continuing education opportunities to stay up to date on dental procedures and continue to learn new ways to help meet patients needs in the dental office.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their son, and their dog.
Meet Our Staff
Jenny Bumgarner – Dental Assistant/Front Desk
Jenny has been Dr. Joel Schieck’s chairside assistant since 2003. Jenny does a fabulous job of making your visit as comfortable as possible. Her kindness and gentleness are always on display. Jenny’s previous 12 years of experience as a cosmetologist is evident in her personal service and attention to detail.
Jenny has two sons, a daughter, and is an Austin native.
Heather – Dental Assistant
Heather is an Austin native and has been in dentistry since 2001. After graduating from Charlotte Technical College in Florida, she worked in numerous dental offices in the south, until recently moving back to Minnesota to be closer to her grandbabies. Heather’s favorite part of dentistry is helping people smile their brightest. 😊
Heather is married to her husband, Clark, and they have two children and four grandchildren. In her spare time, Heather likes to travel and golf. She also has 3 dogs that keep her very busy!!
Brooke – Dental Hygienist
Brooke and her family live near Adams, Minnesota. She has been serving patients as a Dental Hygienist for over 5 years, joining the Schieck Dental Team in 2019. Brooke offers patient education and assists patients in maintaining total oral health. She finds her job very rewarding and enjoys seeing someone’s smile improve in health and visibility.
In her spare time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Gusty Adams – Dental Hygienist
Gusty has been a practicing dental hygienist for almost 6 years, joining the Schieck Dental team in May of 2021. You will find that she’s able to put patients at ease and ensure a positive dental experience.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Ivy. They keep busy gardening, baking, hiking and keeping up their acreage outside of Stacyville, Iowa.
