We offer a comprehensive range of services including:

The team at Schieck Dental focuses on preventive care. Our aim is to prevent serious problems. Routine cleanings and exams are some of the most important preventive services we provide. By scheduling regular visits to your dentist, you are reducing your risk for dental problems now and later in life. To help prevent diseases of the soft and hard tissues, we recommend you visit our office every six months for an exam and cleaning.

In addition to cleaning and examining your teeth and periodontal tissues, we will work to educate you on how to maintain a healthy dentition and soft tissue between appointments.

Dental sealants are an effective treatment option for preventing tooth decay in both children and adults. Sealants are applied to the chewing surface of teeth and fill in narrow grooves in teeth which cannot be cleaned by regular brushing. This resin film forms a protective barrier on the tooth enamel and prevents bacteria and food particles from penetrating the tooth’s protective layer, enamel. It also creates a smooth exterior which is easy to clean with regular brushing.

Compared to silver/amalgam fillings, tooth-colored or composite fillings provide a more conservative option. Dental fillings help restore tooth function after decay has been removed. Composite materials are durable, strong, and can withstand the forces of chewing. One of the many benefits of composite materials is it can be carefully matched to your own natural tooth color. This ensures it is virtually undetectable. It also helps to save natural tooth structure, improve strength and stability, and protect against broken teeth.

If you have a tooth which has experienced severe trauma or advanced decay and cannot be fixed with bonding materials, a dental crown may be utilized. This type of restoration option helps restore strength, stability, function, and aesthetics by covering the remaining tooth. The material used to make your crown depends on the area of the mouth being restored.

A dental bridge is another restorative option used to improve your dental health. We may recommend a bridge if you have suffered tooth loss due to injury, gum disease, or decay. When left uncorrected, a missing tooth can have a significant impact on your dental health. It can cause your smile to look unsightly, cause teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) to shift, and result in pain and discomfort. A dental bridge helps to close any gaps in your mouth and looks and acts like natural teeth. The bridge is permanently cemented to adjacent teeth and helps maintain the position of your remaining teeth.

Implants are restored in our practice. We work very closely with the oral surgeon or periodontist in the planning of the implant restoration. Implants are used for single crowns, bridges and for stabilizing dentures. This is a great option for the replacement of one tooth or all your teeth.

We use digital X-Rays for many reasons. The most important are that it reduces radiation and time. The images are clearer and immediate. There are no harmful chemicals used which is good for the patient, the staff and the environment. Our newest x-ray machine is all extraoral and comfortable for the patient.

Ready to achieve a brighter, whiter smile? Our teeth whitening treatments can help reverse the effects of tea, smoking, coffee, aging, and other causes of tooth discoloration. Shortly after beginning treatments, the discoloration of your teeth will slowly disappear, leaving behind a beautiful, luminous smile. Our team will work with you to determine if whitening is an option for you.

For individuals missing some or all of their natural teeth, partials and dentures can provide a great restoration option. Partials are recommended for patients who still retain some of their natural teeth. Full dentures are recommended for patients who are missing all or most of their natural teeth. Dentures restore your smile as well as your chewing ability.

A dental extraction may be necessary to restore your oral health if you have a tooth that is severely damaged or beyond repair. In addition, overcrowded or poorly positioned teeth may also be a reason for extraction. We will discuss the extraction procedure and best replacement options for your tooth or teeth. It is our goal to make you comfortable throughout the procedure.

This restoration is applied directly to a patient’s tooth to correct misaligned or crooked teeth. A veneer is custom-made porcelain, or ceramic laminate which is almost undetectable when applied to a tooth because it takes on the natural color of your tooth. This is also an excellent option for patients looking to close spaces between teeth.

While BOTOX is widely known for its use to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines that form on the face, it actually has a number of other uses. In addition to helping you achieve a more radiant and youthful look, it is also beneficial in treating cases of migraines, TMJ, and bruxism. BOTOX® is a muscle relaxant, so it reduces muscle contractions which cause wrinkles, tension headaches and oral facial pain.

Juvéderm® is a filler. It is used to fill in the lines in areas of the face that have lost collagen and elasticity. Common sites are around the naso-labial folds, marionette lines and lips.

Laser dentistry in my office is used for soft tissue procedures. For soft tissue treatments, no sutures are needed because no incisions are made. In my office, the most common use of the laser is for treating and removing cold sores permanently.

“Laughing gas”, or nitrous oxide, offers patients a safe and effective treatment for anxiety. This treatment consists of a blend of oxygen and nitrous oxide gas, which has a calming effect on the patient. At the end of the procedure, the gas is safely eliminated from the body in a matter of minutes.
